A group of Nativity Girl Scouts are working toward their Religious Emblem Award. They will be collecting gently used coats to be given to St. Luke’s and Harvest House. Coats may be dropped off the weekend of November 10/11 in the Narthex of the church. The Girl Scouts will be there to receive the coats. Thank you!
On Monday, October 1st at 6:00pm, Nativity will be reciting a Living Rosary for Life in our parking lot between the church and gym. We re hoping for 60 peopel, young and old, who will each represent a bead on the Rosary.
This is open to everyone! Spread the word, gather your families and join this beautiful and powerful prayer. Let the community see our faith!
Mark your calendars and put aside just a half hour to pray for the respect of life from conception to natural death.

The first of the Seven Corporal Works of Mercy – Feed the hungry.
Our parishioner, Dan Barone, was instrumental in setting up Nativity’s monthly meal service at the Lackawana Food Pantry. He is also a fantastic chef and acted as head cook for the monthly meals, providing healthy meals for those in need.
As Dan’s commitments have recently changed, we are now in need of a cook!
If you have any interest in helping or ideas on how our parish can continue this important ministry to the poor, please contact Melissa at 662-9339 ext 145 or email@example.com
Thank you to Dan Barone for many years of cooking for and feeding the community at the Lackawana Food Pantry.

Let’s help Olivia Larson, the founder of Seeds of Change, fill 25 backpacks for the children at Gerard Place!
Gerard Place provides housing and supportive programs for homeless, single-parent families. They strengthen the community by empowering individuals and families toward self-sufficiency via community education and outreach.
Items needed are: glue sticks, folders, colored pencils, pencils, pens, binders, kids scissors, dry erase markers, lined paper, dividers, sticky notes, highlighters, index cards, tissues, and flash drives.
Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Items can be placed in the box in the Narthex.
After learning about the shocking childhood poverty rate of forty-four percent in the city of Buffalo, Olivia Larson, a sophomore at Mount Mercy Academy, decided she would like to do something to combat childhood poverty and its effects in our community. Her idea is a project called Seeds of Change. With the help of Nativity of Our Lord parishioners, donations will be collected for Gerard Place and Western New York Family Promise.
