Lent 2018

Lenten Schedule at Nativity

Fish Fry:  March 9th at 4:00-7:00 in the school gym

Parish Penance Service:  Thursday, March 22nd at 6:30 in the Church

Stations of the Cross:  Every Friday during Lent at 7:00pm in the Church

 

→  Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics.

In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.

For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59.

When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.

Sunday, March 18:  The Passion of Christ:  Reflections on Jesus’ Suffering and Death in Mark’s Gospel
   Speaker:  Rev. Msgr. Richard Siepka, Spiritual Director at Christ the King Seminary

All presentations begin at 7:00pm.  Refreshments will be served.
