St. Vincent de Paul is always in need of volunteers who can visit clients in Buffalo and Orchard Park to determine their needs.

If you can help with any of these ministries, please call Dennis at 308-7858 for more information

Sparks of Hope is a comfortable place in the Southtowns where people recovering from addiction can drop in for support, fellowship and spiritual guidance. It provides individuals and family members friendship and resources as they seek to maintain recovery from addiction. Coaches are available to help.
The center is located at 107 Main Street in the Village of Hamburg (Hamburg United Methodist Church). The center serves people of all faith communities.

Whereas all faiths have people in their congregation affected by this drug epidemic, it seems fitting that we pool our efforts. Volunteers are needed, both recovery-trained volunteers and volunteers to man the center. Also needed are basic food/snack items, coffee, tea, water, etc.

If you can help or would like more information, please call Melissa at 662-9339 ext 145, or email her at

We are twinned with our sisters and brothers in Haiti in the parish of St. Michael the Archangel, Coq Chante. We are committed in support of St. Michael’s Parish, clinic, school, water project and basic necessities for families. Their physical needs are an opportunity for us to give and in return receive the grace-filled prayers and blessings
of the poor.

Nativity and St. George’s Haiti Committee is once again running their gift card program to provide livestock, school tuition, water purification, medical supplies, etc for our twin parish in Coq Chante. Cards will be available in the narthex beginning on November 25. An order form is also available in the December newsletter.

The center is the pastoral Outreach of the Office of Pro-Life Activities of the Diocese of Buffalo.  They follow the example of St Gianna Molla in respecting, protecting, and cherishing all human life as a precious gift from God. The center serves by providing material, emotional, and spiritual support to single mothers, fathers and young families in need from Pregnancy through the first years.

They need clothing from preemie to 4 toddler, diapers and wipes, bottles, bibs, body wash &a lotion, blankets and more. Clean, gently used strollers, pack’n’plays, walkers, high chairs and other larger items are welcome. Due to safety regulations, cribs and used car seats are not accepted. However, monetary donations are used to purchase these items in bulk.

Our parish collects new and gently used items to aid in the center’s efforts.  Donated items can be placed in the wooden collection bins found under the large crucifix in the narthex.

A list of urgently needed items based on season or month will be updated and placed in the bulletin the beginning of each month.

Please call Kathy at 667-3173 with any questions.
