Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CSG): God and the child have a unique relationship, particularly before the age of six. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd gives primary focus to that relationship through Jesus and offers a sacred place where the child can explore that relationship through proclamations and a special place to ponder His Word. This relationship is affirmed for the child and nurtures the child in drawing nearer to God and His Church. Good Shepherd has two levels named Atrium I and Atrium II; Limited space for safety.

  • Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Atrium) LevelI: (Ages 3-6/Grades Pre-K-2) Weekly Sessions Mondays 4:15–5:15pm.  In Level I, the Good Shepherd is at the heart of all catechesis. The Atrium is a place where the child will learn to listen for God through Scripture and the works designed to nourish those realizations that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and the Good Shepherd Loves His Sheep.  All the works in Level I are foundational for learning Catholic Teaching about the Incarnation, Covenant Relationship and the Sacred Liturgy. CSG Level I sessions are held in the Atrium of Nazareth located in the upstairs of the Activity Center; the elevator is available for our use.
  • Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level II: (Ages 7-9/generally Grades 2-3) Weekly Sessions Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm, Thursdays 4:15–5:15pm or Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm. The True Vine is at the heart of the Level II Atrium, whereas, the Good Shepherd was at the heart of the Level I Atrium. In Level II the age of reason has come upon the child and the realizations are that we are the branch connected to the vine. In addition the History of the Kingdom of God from Creation to Parousia are presented and considered. CSG Level II sessions are held in the Atrium of Nazareth located in the upstairs of the Activity Center; the elevator is available for your use.

Children’s Connection: (Grades 4, 5 & 6) Weekly sessions Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm. Sharing, Prayer, & Church Teachings relate our Children’s Connection and the upcoming Sunday Scriptures to family living.
